New Amsterdam DNS Failover Added
Oslo, Norway, September 04, 2013 - ProperHost, a leading eCommerce hosting specialist, announced on Friday a new failover name server situated in the Amsterdam region, in the Netherlands.
"The expansion of our DNS cluster with a new DNS node centrally located in Amsterdam is a strategic step toward our plans of entering the European market", says Sindre Paulsrud Moe, CEO and Founder of ProperHost. "By adding geographically dispersed name servers, we are able to provide a more reliable and fault-tolerant service to our clients."
ProperHost already have name servers located at various data centers in the US. The new EU name server will supposedly add an extra layer of redundancy, and provide lower latency and faster DNS lookups for users in the European region.
